A few third graders were treated to a visit from their neighbors at Carroll County High School before Christmas break began. Co-curricular students taught by Hannah Marsh and Kendall Clifford made ornaments for the children in Natalie Abbott and Cassandra Southworth’s classes. They also read books with the children and colored with them. The groups even enjoyed cupcakes as a treat from the Cartmell classes. (More photos on the district Facebook page.)

Project-Based Learning (PBL) students broke ground on the observation deck beside the Carroll County High School pond. After much planning, writing a proposal and pitching the project before several school panels, it was approved. Students used batter boards and string to square the foundation before digging the first post hole. They also applied the Pythagorean Theorum (3-4-5 triangle) to square the corners.
