The Carroll County Area Technology Center held field day for students from its five counties last week. Students and staff had a fun day of volleyball, kickball, frisbee games, cornhole and grilling on the iconic ATC charcoal grill. A few even got lucky enough to plant a whipped cream pie in the faces of Mr. Brooks, Mr. Rose and Mr. Kennedy. (More photos on the District Facebook page.)

Success worth celebrating! All 14 pre-nursing students at the Carroll County Area Technology Center passed their CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) exam last week at JCTC's Carrollton campus. This photo shows the group after completing their nursing clinicals at Gallatin Health Care.
“I am so proud of them. They have all worked so hard to achieve this goal,” said Nursing Instructor Jessica Hughes.
This certification is the first step toward nursing school, and these students are already making it count. Congratulations to these future nurses! 👏🩺

Today we start Staff Appreciation Week at Carroll County Schools! All of our staff members are invaluable to making our students successful. We are appreciative of you every day, but this week our staff members will receive some extra special treats. The Board of Education is providing lunch for each school this week and individual schools are hosting their own celebrations. Pre-Nursing students at the Carroll County Area Technology Center got a hands-on look at what it’s like to respond in a real emergency 🚑💉
Thanks to our local partners from Carroll County Memorial Hospital and Carroll County Emergency Medical Services, students worked through a simulated scenario inside an ambulance while transporting a patient to a Louisville hospital for the ICU and cath lab.
Things quickly became intense when the “patient” stopped breathing and students had to jump into action, using their skills and training to respond 💪🫁

On Friday 3/20 you may notice an ambulance at CCATC in the morning and afternoon. Don't be alarmed! This is just another awesome opportunity for our Health Sciences students. This simulated "code" will be a life-like scenario that students will learn from. Thank you to Carroll County Memorial Hospital, Carroll County EMS, and anyone else who worked to put this together for our students!

Carroll County Schools is looking for dedicated team members to help keep our students moving safely each day! 🚌

We are currently hiring bus drivers and a lead bus mechanic. These roles are essential to our district. Bus drivers are often the first Carroll County Schools team members students see each morning and the last they see in the afternoon, helping ensure a safe and positive start and end to the school day. Our lead bus mechanic plays a critical role behind the scenes, making sure every bus on the road is safe, reliable, and ready to go.

If you are interested in making a difference for our students and community, we would love to hear from you.

👉 Learn more and apply at join.ccpanthers.com.
